David Malone, CPA, PLLC

Believe it or not, accounting has been a passion of mine since the 6th grade. Our teacher had given us an assignment to write a book report on a career. I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up, so I went to the school's library and started in the "A's". Accounting sounded interesting, so I did my book report on it. It must have been a premonition because I got an "A" on the assignment. David Malone, CPA delivers advance accounting services providing financial intelligence to help make clear data driven decisions so business owners can make continuous improvements to actively grown their businesses. My services include outsourced Client Accounting Services (compliance and advisory), Federal and State taxation, management accounting and controller services for small and mid‐size companies and real estate management companies. My business model is primarily centered around a monthly fixed fee basis instead of the typical billable hour.

Prior to obtaining my CPA license, I worked in almost every back office area of several companies in different industries. I have real world experience in setting up computerized accounting systems from scratch, handling payroll, Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, Commercial Credit/Collections (to include Small Claims Court actions) and General Ledger. After obtaining my CPA license, I worked over 9 years for several regional public accounting firms.

Outside the accounting realm, I retired as a Captain in the Army National Guard after serving over 23 years. I am married to my beautiful wife, Ana, who is from Colombia, South America. My hobbies include bicycling, scuba diving and reading. I have an A.A.S. in Accounting from McLennan Community College, a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas and a M.S. in Accounting and Information Technology from the University of Texas at Dallas.
